Phenotypic precision medicine in advanced prostate cancer: a path forward


Precision medicine is an approach that utilizes diagnostic tools to select therapies for appropriate patients with the goal of optimizing outcomes and minimizing adverse events.1

Precision medicine may improve outcomes in oncology patients2; however, precision medicine is less prevalent in advanced prostate cancer compared with other tumor types.3

As treatment options for patients with advanced prostate cancer evolve,4 precision medicine may offer a more tailored approach by facilitating patient selection and helping to guide treatment decision making.5-7
